How does this app work? TrueSeek is a static web app with no backend server. When you enter your API key, it is stored securely on your device. All requests are sent directly from your browser to the OpenAI server, allowing seamless interaction with the AI.
Is TrueSeek free to use? Yes! TrueSeek is free with basic features. To use it, you need to have an active OpenAI API key, which you can obtain directly from OpenAI. Some premium features can be unlocked with a one-time purchase.

What are the limitations of the free plan? In the free plan, your chat history won't be saved, and you may experience occasional pop-ups. Other advanced features may also be limited.
Do I need to pay for OpenAI? Yes, to use the AI with TrueSeek, you'll need an OpenAI account and an API key. We do not sell API keys.
Do I need a TrueSeek subscription to use it? No! You only need a valid OpenAI API key. You can check out how to get one here: OpenAI API.
How does TrueSeek differ from the official OpenAI platform? TrueSeek offers the same AI models and quality as OpenAI but with a better user interface and added productivity features.
⚙️ Account & Setup
How do I get my Trueseek API Key? Follow these steps to get your API key:
Sign up at Trueseek if you don’t have an account.
Navigate to Profile > View API Keys.
Create a new secret key and copy it into the AI.
How is my API key handled? Your API key is stored securely on your device. This app is static, meaning data stays locally on your browser, and all requests go directly to the other servers.
How many devices can I use with my TrueSeek license? Each license key can be used on up to 5 devices. If you need more, you can purchase additional licenses.
How can I recover my lost chat history? If you’ve lost chat history and did not enable cloud sync, it cannot be recovered. However, if cloud backup was enabled, you can restore it via the "Recover lost data" option in settings.
Will my chats be saved across devices? No, chats are stored locally per browser. If you use multiple devices or browsers, you'll need to enter the API key again for each one.

I’ve lost my license key. How can I retrieve it? You can retrieve your license key by visiting TrueSeek License Manager.
How do I remove a device from my license? To remove a device, use the License Manager in your account settings. For detailed instructions, visit Manage Licenses & Devices.
Do I need to re-enter my keys on different devices? Yes, your license and API key need to be re-entered on each device or browser where you use TrueSeek.
Does my license key have an expiration date? No, your license key is valid for life.

🤖 Usage
What is a token? A token represents the length of your conversation with the AI. The more tokens you use, the more context the AI has for the conversation.
How is the cost calculated? Costs are based on the tokens used during the conversation and any enhanced features. Typical conversations use about 1,000 tokens, costing just a fraction of a cent.
Can I see the cost estimation or context length? Yes, you can switch the display to show either the cost estimation or the context length of your chats.

How does web search work? When web search is enabled, TrueSeek uses a search engine to fetch live data and provide up-to-date responses based on your query.
How can I enable web search? You can enable web search when starting a new conversation by toggling the search feature in the settings.
How does the search feature benefit me? Web search is useful for checking information reliability, staying updated on trends, and gathering resources for research.

Do I need a license and API key for the self-hosted version? Yes, the self-hosted version requires both a TrueSeek license key and an OpenAI API key to function properly.
